More information on the film in the below article. Filming occurs in Vancouver later this month, and it may be re-titled "Marley & Me: The Puppy Years"...

According to this article, it's a prequel that will focus on Marley as a pup/"teen dog"...

Given how notoriously slow Atlanta-area mail delivery it is, it could be awhile :) I'm still waiting for a postcard myself -- will probably give it until the end of the week until I raise the white flag. Congrats to Candice and her family!

Interesting pick, but I can see it work. Richter seems to be a fan of the genre and understands when to play it for laughs and when not to. Curious to see how faithful the pilot is to "classic" Pyramid, and whether the show tapes as a 30-minute or 60-minute program.

Maybe it's me, but perhaps MyNet should consider airing just the "celebrity" episodes of 5th Grader during the season. Unlike CMT and syndie, MyNet is only airing two episodes a week. There should be enough celeb episodes over two seasons of tapings to make a "full season" of it. For "sweeps months," air civilian episodes where contestants try, or have the opportunity to try the bonus question for at least $100,000.

Sounds like ABC could be targeting the show for a Friday night slot next season. It's cheap to produce, the prize money being offered is not large enough to justify a "higher priority" time slot and it's a show that would be allowed to finish its six or 13-week run without risk of being yanked, given the low demo and HUT numbers typically associated with the night. ABC seems to be targeting low-cost "reality" on Fridays this season (Wife Swap, Supernanny, Jamie Oliver, Shark Tank, news shows), and a "low money" quiz would fit the bill.

It appears Fremantle may have tried out this concept in Atlantic City last year as a live stage show called "Taste of Emeril's Cooking Challenge," with both Marc Summers and Mark DeCarlo hosting, and Emeril appearing in video segments. As long as Emeril isn't fronting a sitcom, he should do fine :) . As the previous poster notes, he's quite charismatic and TV-friendly, and I could see him fronting a cooking-themed game or reality show, provided it's not one of the backstabbing variety. As far as who's getting the ATWT slot, there has been talk that CBS will give 30 minutes of that hour back to the affiliates, so I'm looking at one show being tapped. Maybe it's me, but I can't see the Julie Chen-fronted show working in a 30-minute slot -- when was the last daytime chatfest that worked in such time constraints? With Oprah retiring, perhaps the Eye should rethink their strategy and offer the Chen show as an alternative to CBS affiliates currently airing O.

I believe ABC canceled "Japanese Game Show." Haven't seen or heard any evidence suggesting the show is returning. The Alphabet did renew "Shaq Vs." for a second season -- that could work as a "Wipeout" partner.
