It is we who have failed to demand our reclusive, secretive gummint to tell us what the hell they are doing in our name.
And the gummints and politicians scrambling around trying to cover their posteriors are not sorry for what they did, rather, like the petulant children they so often emulate, they are only sorry they got caught and exposed.
It is shallow patriotism to defend wrong-doing under the cover of "nation." You wouldn't let your own kids get away with such juvenile excuses---why let those who have come to think they rule us, rather than serve us, do so?
Think. It is an invigorating exercise. There was a time when "conservatives" were more concerned about open gummint and individual freedom and expression, than they were defending the necessary evil of gummint. Nowadays, conservatives seem most concerned about out stalin-izing Stalin, all in the name nationhood and law and order-ness and all that.
That is American? Not from a damn thing I have ever read, studied, or heard about our founders.

I'm be more concerned about Fitzgerald's competence than the Blags. Chicago hasn't had a true honesty campaign since Prohibition, which was the biggest gummint FU next to this one (well, maybe the Kennedy election excepted).
If Fitz has any brains, he'll ask for a transfer to Billings, Montana, and learn to STFU.
All he got was the lie to the FBI bullshit ("Martha Stewart gee get him on sumpin for crying out loud")--which the FBI, when it realizes its bag is full of fecal matter, does to citizens like they breathe. Fitz ought to be tried for incompetence, and the FBI agents involved for bearing false witness.
Ya think?
What a joke. And the gummint intends to re-try matters? Sorta kinda like trying to re-fry the fish already burned on the grill.

Blags is the most honest Chicago pol in decades. It's a damnable shame that the best the Feds could get was the "we can lie, cheat and steal but you can't" conviction.
Makes you wonder whether Blags is more corrupt than the goofs trying to try jim.
For ALL his faults, I think Blags is more reputable.
Heh.

I was not complaining, nor do I have to complain. I was merely pointing out that the Red Sox have been the best team in baseball for the last two months, and contrary to your opinion, ESPN failed to acknowledge that fact.
Be cool, Dude. And . . . I am sorry pictures of the Green Monster offend you, though.

The Yanks--33-23 since April 20th . . .
ESPN still has the Yanks, after even this past week, ahead of the Sox.
Makes sense, doesn't it?
