You know, I've never even seen that movie!

I was thinking those could be in the special effects pack too, but they'd be unbelievably tiny...just bits of dust really.

Haha... :) No shame in it! I think most kids loved X-Force.

I guess sometimes I find artists I really like (Mike Mignola, Jim Lee, Cary Nord) and the rest all just sort of blur together to me.

I don't really feel qualified to judge comic art, honestly. It's like how some sculptors come on here and criticize the anatomy of action figures that looked perfectly fine to me...you're talking to someone who totally thought Rob Liefeld was a good artist when he (i.e., I) was twelve years old.

Yes - because what the world needs is more Channing Tatum screen time. Sigh.

As for Battleship, I guess that makes sense...but then, I'd probably argue the whole enterprise wasn't worth bothering with in the first place.

Question for you all: should I stop doing these? Has the moment where people really cared about bios passed?

Or is the problem that I'm discussing them too late - I should be discussing them as they're revealed?

Gygor's bio does say Evil-lyn released him in an attempt to bolster Skeletor's forces - so how releasing him was a "miscalculation" on Evil-lyn's part is unclear.

I think he looks great. Can't wait. But between Spikor and Mekaneck, I'm really only left with one last figure I need for my childhood collection (Ram-Man, natch).

Mekaneck has the distinction of being the one MOTU figure I distinctly remember opening on Christmas as a kid. I've always liked him.

To be fair, having Dare be Skeletor's kid could also be construed as being a little too Star Wars, though it's not like that kind of thing hadn't been done before 1981.

You missed the whole dust-up over Stinkor, didn't you?
