As a marketing guy, I know how hard it is to massage two audiences at once. In this case, Biden would like to energize the vocal minority of the far left as well as appeal to moderates who have a vague distaste of Trump. The result is...maybe hapless. The far left doesn't like that Biden isn't promising more and the moderates don't like that Biden is promising too much. The far left is mad he's not attaching Trump harder, the moderates would like to see more "going high." Trump can nail his message because he is talking to his base. He'll still get the voters who don't like the "libs are the enemy" divisiveness, but those people aren't watching his speeches or reading his tweets. They just are worried about socialism or defunded police or pro-choice Justices.

Going to miss it. Honestly, I'm only active on my blog and Twitter again because Google+ is closing. It was my outlet for a long time and there are some great atheists and Christians on there. Oh well, nothing lasts forever.

Now my dad blames...not God, not her decision, not his encouragement of her decision...but doctors for not healing her.

I grew up a Christian Scientist, so I can somewhat relate. I don't think my parents would have let it go that far with me. They were believers, but liked to hedge their bets. My mom died last year from cancer and her faith did harm her. First diagnosis was late, due to not wanting to seek medical help. Chemo helped, so much so that she was close to back to normal...at which point she stopped treatment before she should have stopped treatment and it came back worse.

Thanks. I was actually pretty active on Google+ (for some reason). Now that it's going away, I'm getting back into Twitter and a little bit of the blog.

I don't know why people give words so much power. They are pixels on the screen or sounds from the mouth. Actions can be offensive, but words? Not to me.

Jesus, God hasn't struck you down in 10 years now? I guess I'm safe then. ;-)

Yeah, I like both those guys too. I figure there is an off chance they'll be back like a bunch of other atheist blogs that closed shop...temporarily. It's hard to post often, but it's also hard to give up entirely.

The bible is so-so at fulfilling prophecies that are fulfilled IN THE BIBLE. It's awful at fulfilling prophecies that were to come after, like Jesus' return.

But, hey, we just haven't given enough time. (despite the many references implying it should have happened long ago.)

Making it a reality is a goal, but only a partially attainable one. Still, as much of it as can be attained should be.
