TechCrunch : Nixty Launches With Ambitions to Build Something Huge in eLearning

I would think it is hard for Nixty to compete with sakai, It already has been adopted by over two hundred universities in US. It is open source. Long distance? Sakai can do very well!

TechCrunch : Decoding Microsoft's Fantastic Passive-Agressive Numbers Post

Thanks MG, this is a good article. First of all. Many Mr Frank's cited sources are not really the direct data sources. This is not a very good way for showing some data in the MS official blog. Sorry for this, but if I were Mr.Frank, I would not do so. For all those numbers, one number catches my eyes. The number contrast between windows server and Linux server. The possible real source is http://www.zdnet.com/blog/microsoft/behind-the-id... Windows: 73.9% Linux: 21.2% I do not know how IDC conducted the research, But, how many percent people in TC are using windows server? As i know, probably most of website hosting companies, academy institutes, small companies are using Linux servers. Who else are using windows servers except MS, MS cloud, DOD ( possibly), military institutes, and some DC contractors?

TechCrunch : LinkedIn Tops 70 Million Users; Includes Over One Million Company Profiles

Simple conclusion i got from the above discussions. LinkedIN is for people to look for other people, for example consultants, recruiters. But, not for people with other careers. By the way, if Linkedin can get a short name like LIN, that would be easy for us to spell and spread the word, for example, Facebook, FB.

TechCrunch : Why Mobile Innovation Is Blowing Away PCs

Mobile platform can be and will be a big deal only if it has resolved how people can use it for the daily job. There are still many issues unresolved, human computer interaction, ergonomics, fatigue etc. The success of iPad is not able to prove Mobile platform has made significant progress in this.

Not sure Rushabh or Josh can see this. I just looked source codes. It seems the team is using the HTML5 techniques. I think the team uses the Canvas quite a lot. Can you tell us a little bit more technology or open source techniques used for the editor. It is because all the javascripts used for the editor are minified. Thanks in advance.
