I'm very fond of this episode. A Canterlot Wedding, Return to Harmony and the Pilot have been my favourite two-parters. At the time, I wasn't sure just how big and adventurous the show was going to get, so when they introduced a big new villain or a larger than life conflict I was amazed. None of the two parters after Season 2 really gave me the same feeling though for whatever reason. Maybe I just got too used to it.

Well....that's an interesting choice of episodes. I would've thought maybe it would have covered the four remaining map episodes that haven't been released on DVD yet. Huh.

As far as pony-related content is concerned, I'll still be reading the comics and will definitely buy Season 5 on DVD when it comes out. Otherwise, I'll be seeing plenty of movies to tide me over. (including Krampus, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Kung Fu Panda 3, Deadpool, Batman V Superman, Zootopia and more.)

I'm sure the hiatus will be fine.
