I thought people like you would be more enlightened than to express such vile bigotry against the elderly.

My mistake.

That's the insulting part. Yes, it's an actual apology, not some weasel-phrased "I'm sorry you feel that way and I'm sad that you're suing me, you insufferable uppity peasant". Even so, though the apologetic aspect of the statement is about as correct as one can reasonably hope, it is still saturated with lies.

Spake Bob: "I have always tried to treat people from all viewpoints with respect"
This incident is an obvious proof that he has not.

Spake Bob: "I have and I will always work to promote a civil public discourse.”
Once again, this time he obviously didn't.

The number of seats in the House is probably due for an increase, as well. They might have to remodel the chamber to look like the Senate in Star Wars, though.

You do not want to know what is written in the Scrolls of Retracto about what happens when the Correction Alpaca is not appeased.

The truth is that a large proportion of aboriginal populations want Walmarts and iPhones as much as the rest of us, unlike Cameron's imaginary Na'vi who refused guns, computers, and beer for reasons that were never rationally explained. My theory for making sense of Avatar is that the planetary mass tree-mind was in an ongoing brainwashing campaign to keep the Na'vi enslaved. Really, there is no scam more ultimate than setting yourself up as a god, and in this movie, it was pulled off by a bunch of trees.

Show me a tribesman who makes a big deal out of preserving their ancient traditional lifestyle and concomitant 35 year life expectancy, declaiming against the Evil Earth-Raping Corporate Hobgoblins, and I'll give even odds that he's jealous of the oil or mineral assets in a neighboring tribe's territory.
