I have so many favorite winter soups. But I must say, the one I look forward to every year right when it gets super cold (which is mid December here i Texas) is my Guinness soup. i made it one year as i was learning to cook. It was a simple soup of meat and lots of hearty vegetables, and of course, the dark beer (I stole 2 Guinness bottles from my husband's stock and now it's a tradition). Slow simmered for 2 hrs and seasoned to taste, it's absolutely wonderful ladled over some white rice. my family requests it every year. :D
Kale, Mushroom, Tofu Soup ...... So good and healthy
I genuinely prize your work , Great post.
my mom introduced me to juicing and ever since i use a wooden hand juicer to make concoctions! woud love one of these! thanks for the great post!
Love this. We detail how to stock a standard pantry and an asian cabinet, but not latin. Adding this to my bookmarks!
One of my favorite quick & easy spring meals is this Spring Pasta with Leeks, Green Peas, Asparagus and Sausage...second only to /Fig & Olive Pizzettes. YUM.
This looks really really good, I don't think I've ever had anything like it actually
I love love love Deep-Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Crispy Pancetta and Garlic. Another favorite is Broccoli Cauliflower Soup. I also keep a big bag of fresh spinach in the fridge and add it to pasta or white beans to make it a more complete meal.
One of my favorite salmon dishes is so easy it's ridiculous - a little grated ginger, brown sugar/honey and soy sauce, brush the salmon and broil. Delicious every single time...
I absolutely love Bittman! One of my favorites is his Deep-Roasted Brussels Sprouts recipe, which first got me hooked on these once-reviled sprouts. Very much looking forward to his new show!
