It does get better. We had about a 2-month adjustment period when we brought Baby Brother home. Cole would tell me to put the baby down all the time, pretend to cry, deliberately disobey, etc. All the tricks he had at his disposal to get attention. It's such a big change for them too, and it just takes a little while to wrap their heads around another child in the house.

I second the suggestion of finding a mother's day out program or even daycare a couple of days a week if your budget allows for it. I work outside the home and we kept Cole in school while I was out on maternity leave with Cannon, and it saved my sanity. And believe me, after some especially "spirited" weekends home with my boys, I find myself skipping back to the car from dropping them off at school on the way to work. :)

Thank you! We are settling in quite nicely. I keep feeling like I have to go back to work next week, though. I have to keep reminding myself that I'm on leave until about January!

I am actually kind of nervous to do the three day potty training. I don't know if I have the patience for it! I wish that kids could just wake up on their second birthday and automatically want to and know how to use the potty. It would make life so much easier. :)

I went back and forth as well, mostly because I didn't think it would be possible so I was kind of talking myself out of a VBAC. Now that I have a little more hope, I'm excited about the opportunity! Thanks for following!

See, that's what I thought too. Luckily after that display of douchiness, he left me alone for the rest of the afternoon. Thank heaven for small favors, right?

It's always the second one that seems to throw people for a loop. My mother always said, regarding children, "one is like none and two is like ten." I was the perfect child, and having the perfect child made her feel like the perfect parent. Then my little monster, I mean brother, came along. He was the anti-me. Sick, clingy, accident-prone, everything I was not. My mom was a great mom, but she got cocky, like a lot of first-time moms. But she rolled with it, and we both turned out marginally okay.

I think. Jury's still out on Brother.
