Lily Allen WOULD make a good Asha. She looks similar to how I imagine Asha might look.

This review is encouraging. I was disappointed when I heard Mo's take on the first episode. I actually haven't finished reading the book (almost done!) so I'll give the show a try. Spartacus took a couple episodes to find its audience, so maybe Pillars will be the same way.
