I'm going to try the 2 minute gig. Intriguing. I'm a "ready-fire-aim" kind of guy anyway so this sounds like a good fit.

Just reading this article makes me feel better. I am a Christian Counselor in a ministry that also provides deliverance ministry services. The word "deliverance" is a lightning-rod term in the Body of Christ and I have determined that we will be unabashed defenders of deliverance ministry for the church today. I will not try to defend every minister or ministry but we have purposed to blog, teach and minister in this area because Jesus did it, he trained the disciples and commanded the church to do it (Mark 16:17) and we have truly seen lives changed because of it. Thank you for the encouragement.

Like I'm sure many others in ministry, I have a book, or more, in my head but finding time to start getting it out of there and down on paper has been elusive. As you say, even urgent things can gobble up the time and I can do newsletters and blog posts kind of on the fly but have been unsuccessful with the book. Within the past two weeks, I have scheduled time on my calendar (4 or more hours at a stretch) to do nothing but work on the book. I've found that I need a deeper level of engagement than I can get in snatches of time and I've found that this type of window allows me to get more done. I'm believing that I will be able to be diligent enough to keep doing this.

I too am not a fan of the automated messages. I do look at most DMs and if I see my name mentioned, then I am likely to respond or at least click on a link shown, especially if it is to facebook or another social site. Please don't try to "sell" me in the DM.

Your points are excellent! I lead a Christian counseling ministry/educational academy and have begun the foray into blogging in the last few months. We are still sowing but have made some good contacts as we tweet the blog posts. The process is amazing. Am not yet an author, the book is still in my head, but can see the value to your suggestions. Thank you for this article

This is a great article and certainly sets high goals and standards that most leaders cannot meet in totality. As I reflect on my own history in the workplace and in ministry situations, I've seen that point 5, the "Reproduce" aspect has been most missing. It is rooted in fear I believe and can result in severe abuse which is demoralizing and keeps the organization/ministry from being all that it can. As a ministry leader now myself, I am trying to walk the narrow road in each of these areas and need God's grace to do it every day. Thank you for posting this.
