John I know I don't know you but for me when I am loosing weight I talk about it because I want more people to notice and 30 pounds is something to be proud of. Unfortunately if I am honest I would say my faith isn't something I am as proud of. Its a labor in my life that I sometimes find peace in but rarely joy. Usually my faith is more of condemnation of how I live a life without God instead of a life giving fount. But I do agree with you I really do need to analyze the importance of what I spend my time engaging and discussing and more importantly acting on.

Thanks.

Hmm my 2 are more internal then external.
- Overwhelming Grace & Love - Heaped on those who are members and those who are walking in the door for the first time. Also its needed in the relationships in the Church. Hey we are a family and we are going to say and do things that hurt one another, but we can't allow these things to tear us apart. We need grace and love to make these things strengthen us.

- Perfect Community - We would be the first place to look for comfort, advice, support and relationship. And we wouldn't be so busy with our own stuff that we could make ourselves available to one another.

Yeah I kinda dont mind some of them. And although the production value on this one is a little off its a lot better then some of the others I have seen. I just dont get this one. Its talking about talking to none Christians and then goes to a body wash thing. Felt like saying something about Jesus washing away our sin or allowing God to clean you up would just make more sense.

Don't retweet everything someone says no matter how funny, real or deep they are. If I wanted to read all their tweets I would follow them not you.

Good stuff. You hit a button with some of your consequences of pride and then I remembered from the paragraph above. "“Only by pride” do I get offended when someone is critical". What would you say the call to action is on starting to weed out the pride areas in your life? What are the actions we can take aside from praying that God will show us our sin and being rooted in the Word?

ahhh, I love Jon Stewart. Why? Because even when hes wrong he's still funny. And I don't mean Fox News funny where the people on the screen are laughing and I am feeling really awkward.

I think the biggest thing for me as a progressive is I HATE VOTING!!! I know that either a democrat or a republican will win (most likely a republican here in GA) and I hate that there is no one on the ballot who represents my views. They tend to be one extreme or the other.

I'm not really a fan of the word tolerance these days. It's a word that for me means, someone not willing to stand up for what they believe because it might make someone a little uncomfortable. Love isn't tolerant, love is "patient, kind, not envious, not boastful, not proud, not rude, not self-seeking, easily angered, keeps no record of wrongs, does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth, always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres" but not always tolerant.

I keep going back to Matthew 7:15 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves." And I can't help but wonder if in a time when shepherding was a common profession, if someone would have said "hey you don't need to act, you should just be tolerant of and open-minded about the wolves among your sheep".

I think saying "There is a mass murderer standing in your child's room, standing over them with a knife" wouldn't evoke more of an accurate reaction. A wolf in the flock could completely destroy a persons lively hood, their life, and the lives of those in their family. There was no unemployment, no insurance, no welfare.
