Good post. Visualisation like that is very important. For reference, in China between 1958 and 1961, the famine caused by a drop in food production due to the failed implementation of Russian agriculture methods and hugely compounded by the actions of the Mao communist government killed at least 45million and possibly as many as 80 million people. As many as 3 million of those were beaten or tortured to death after being caught stealing food to survive. Even the smaller end of that total scale, that's almost double what Hitler and Stalin managed combined. Sobering stuff.

awesome post - very sad the hear that story though :( I miss my kids loads - they live 9000 miles away from me and although I get to speak to them and see them on skype every other day, I only get 2 or 3 weeks a year with them in person, which is just not enough hair stroking at bedtime or chasing around the park squealing with laughter. At least they know I miss it too.

I was following a little girl and her dad down the escalator at the station yesterday - she was wearing his giant fluro work jacket and they were holding hands, not speaking, but clearly it was cool, the girl looked happy. Her mum was waiting at the bottom for them, not smiling, no greeting, no expression of joy at the very cute kid in a huge mans jacket, nothing. She didn't even say anything as they walked out of the station and the girl went very blank in her expression. It was so odd in fact that I did wonder if there was something not right about the setup - kidnap type not right, but no - I think she was just a crap mother who didn't give a stuff about her daughter's emotional well being.

These are lovely :) Look forward to more like this. You should have a go with a Holga if you want to let go of perfection - you have 2 apertures and the speed of the film you put in it and thats all the control you have, and yet it produces the most incredible images.
