I also think the third book has quite a bit of foreshadowing for the Deathly Hallows, with Harry seeing the supposed "grim" and not dying, as well as Harry getting his cup read, yet another grim, but them Mcgonagall confirms, that he probably wouldn't die.. which all turns out to be true.
