The Heritage Foundry : Filibuster Deal Restricts Senators' Rights to Debate Judicial Nominees

Last week Carney responded to the DC Circuit Court ruling: "One decision by one court in one case." What do they always say when they lose? This will influence future executive orders. The Constitution provided separation of powers, each house of Congress establishes it's own rules, not the president. Had there been more compromising on the DC Circuit how might this decision have been different? What happens with more leniency in future appointments?

Breitbart.tv : Occupy Protesters Arrested For Burning U.S. Flag

Bork argued flag burning was not speech and the amendment was written only to protect freedom of speech. Vitter introduced a proposal in the spring of 2009 to redefine the the First Amendment as not protecting symbolic acts yet there was not enough support. Today an American flag can be burned in public justified as freedom of speech yet one cannot burn a bucket of leaves in the same location as an expression of sacrifice and devotion to Mother Nature in all her glory.
