Mocha Beanie Mummy : So really, he meant this.

We're at exactly the same stage! It can be frustrating but for us it's so amazing to have him even try and communicate using words instead of grunts or gestures. Well done to him! Hope the next ST appointment goes well, will be thinking of you! We have one next Tuesday, no idea what to expect this time!

TheMadHouse : Lets Talk About Respect

Jen, I can't really say any more than everyone already has done! Well done for writing this post. I've been a bit out of the loop recently so am not quite sure what's going on, but everything seems to have suddenly kicked off. It's such a shame. Since I started blogging almost a year ago I've received so much support from this community and it seems to be on the verge of implosion. Respect is the key word here, and you've hit the nail right on the head. xxx

Mocha Beanie Mummy : So I'm Done.

Well, I don't think I can really say much after Tara's awesome comment! But just wanted to say that if you do totally give up blogging I will miss your writing loads. I'm not quite sure what's been going on lately in the blogging community but I'm reading more and more posts about people becoming disillusioned with blogging because of bullying and backstabbing. It's such a shame, especially after the real sense of 'community' that I felt characterised the CyberMummy conference. Follow your heart Jay, and do what you need to do. But I will miss your online blogging presence a lot (had best get myself of Twitter much more often to keep up with you!) x

Sleep is for the Weak : Temper

Sending you big hugs, it's so frustrating for you both when they can't express themselves. I don't blame you for going out afterwards! Tantrums aside (the Bear started having them at 13 months, and I had to deal with the "just you wait!" thing too - gah) he sounds like such a wonderful little boy! Can't wait to hear what your news is! xx

My Daddy Cooks : A tribute in food to Grandma Lily who died today

I'm so sorry to hear the news Nick, she sounds wonderful. How lovely though that she lives on in your memories through food - fried onion and mash is indeed one of the finest comfort foods known to man! It's great that you've got her cooking pot too - any chance we can have a video of you whipping up some traditional Eastern Europeamn fayre with Archie?

Sleep is for the Weak : Two

Isn't he beautiful! Such a gorgeous letter to your little boy. I know exactly what you mean about words that make sense to them but not necessarily to us (although I have got better at deciphering the Bear's chatterings!) Also it's so true what you say about them only being ours for a little while - something I must remember more often.

Sleep is for the Weak : A Blogging Manifesto - thoughts on Cybermummy

Josie! This is an amazing post. I said in someone's comments (I can't remember whose, apologies, I am crap) that there was an overwhelming feeling of empowerment on the day - all these amazing women who write so beautifully, because they want to, because they can. This manifesto embodies that feeling and I really hope people take it to heart. I am not a 'successful' blogger by any means - I have never been in the Tots 100 and am unlikely to be, and my stats are made of teeny tiny numbers. However, nobody who was there on Saturday gave a shit about that, and I was so glad because I don't either. I felt completely accepted for who I was and what I am doing and I was so happy about it. As Deer Baby said, I hope this goes up on BMB. This really is what blogging's all about.
