OT But has anyone seen a winter harvest sweater in a size S? The medium the community helped me track down looks like it is going to be too wide/big for my friend. Any help would be appreciated - thanks! Arietta {at} gmail {dawt} com

Yes. The one store they said had it, did not. And I had them check other stores inventory and they didn't find any. I called around myself this morning, however. And found one.

Thank you! Unfortunately, they were only willing to give me the additional 5%, insisting that you cannot stack discounts. I understand that you cannot stack promotion codes, but as one is a code & one is not - I don't believe that if I had made a purchase today with my birthday discount, I wouldn't have been able to use both :/

Thanks for this! I was eyeing this for an upcoming holiday party. I went in and tried the dress on, and thankfully my size was still available on Nanette Lepore's site :). Definitely an easier blow to the wallet, as the size that worked for me will require some taking in!

http://effortlessanthropologie.blogspot.com/ : Anthropologie Archival Collection reviews: Sightseer Pencil Skirt, Duck Cord Skirt, Vine Skirt, Ruff

That is so crazy to me! I wasn't into Anthropologie back then (well, I was. But I couldn't afford it, so I just didn't pay attention to it), and I never saw the movie Chloe. But one day in early 2010, I was flipping through the catalogs on anthro addict's site (when they still work), and saw the jacket and IMMEDIATELY fell in love. I was even able to score 1 on ebay for a couple hundred dollars, though it was a bit snug at the time. I later had to purchase a larger size (at the current going rate, but was able to resell my worn small size for the same price). I guess just because the first time I ever saw it, I was positively in love with it - it is hard for me to imagine it dwindling on the sale rack!

Hey nancy! Thanks for the heads up. Just called them, and they said it was showing up as out of stock and therefore they didn't have it. It was only after insisting that "a friend" had physically seen it there that they went to go check. But they said that they didn't see it in the sale room. If you happen to go back there and see it, is there any way you could put it on hold for me and let me know? Or purchase it, and I'll PayPal you for it (and a finders fee?)? Thanks so much!
http://effortlessanthropologie.blogspot.com/ : As promised, Anthropologie\'s SALE is back with new markdowns!!!

I have a PSA! At least, I don't think this was brought up before. About a week ago, Anthropologie restocked the Ruffian Love Letters sheet sets. I ordered one for myself and just received them (standard shams included in the set). Unfortunately, queen has sold out. But 3 king sets and some twin sets remain: http://us.anthropologie.com/anthro/product/home-b...

http://effortlessanthropologie.blogspot.com/ : Anthropologie\'s SALE is really heating up!!!

But it is silly. Lori's comment proves it. Lori is not the only person out there who doesn't want to "bother" the SAs, and it isn't exactly common knowledge that if it isn't on the floor, it must be in the back. Not everyone is going to ask. You and I know to ask. But that doesn't mean that the typical Anthropologie shopper does. And if Anthropologie is losing a sale because an item isn't out for someone to see, how is that not silly? Or, the item lingers in the back until it is remembered at markdown time, and the item could have been sold at full price. Plus, what if an SA takes a call and doesn't know that the shirt has been moved to the back? It happens often enough that they're so busy and / or don't understand the significance, so because they don't see it on the floor, they assume it's gone. In addition, Anthro's inventory system is not up to snuff these days. It seems that for online only items, it doesn't matter if there is an in store return made, the one item won't show up as in store stock on the handhelds (or so I've heard). I'm not saying feature the item in it's own, neat little stack of one in the center of a table. But I don't see the harm in hanging it behind another item. Or even in front of an item. Would it be so impractical to hang 1-3 tops in front of a full size run of pants that happen to go with the top?

I've noticed this too. Items that were special and beautiful, but would have previously made it to sale are now selling out within weeks. It is certainly an interesting strategy.
