Maybe it's because I'm a dude, or because I'm colorblind and also kind of fashion-blind, but if you showed me a gorgeous dress it's very unlikely I'd be able to tell you if it cost $300 or $10,000.

Yeah, I kind of love her too. It's hard not to after watching that hilarious video of her and Snoop Dogg: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Ocre0kXgvg. So awkward. So funny.

Holy crap I love this. Mad Libs have actually been a fairly large part of my life even as an adult; two of my best friends and I used to get together regularly and do (online) mad libs for hours. I kind of really want to steal this idea.

I love the idea of pizza at the wedding. I just recently made some amazing homemade deep dish pizza, and it was so damn good I immediately thought of serving deep dish the wedding - though it would be a stretch to make it all myself. We've also considered a hamburger bar.

Wow, that's awesome! Now I can finally bottle PBR mixed with Smirnoff Ice and label it a "Pabst-Smir."

Great post. We've run into a little snafu with our planning (which is in the early stages) - we booked a place right away, a really really beautiful place in Berkeley, CA called the Brazilian Room (or as I call it, the Bridezillian Room), and we booked on a Thursday for a bare-bones price. BUT now we're running into some issues with the list of approved caterers, and getting a quote for the budget we're looking for. If I have any advice, it's to vet/scour the approved caterers of a place before putting your deposit down. I'm sure we still would have gone with it, but I do wish we'd done a little more research first. We may end up doing the self-catered option, but that's another story...

I agree with anyone with used the words "those," "are," and "cute" in any combination. In other words, those are really cute.

My fiancee has an aunt who just got into cake-making and decorating and we have enlisted her to make some sort of amazing cake for us, complete with toppers - possibly little cartoon version of us (fully edible!).

That was indeed painless.

That said: Me! Me! Pick me! I really need a prize package with a sweet ass.

Holy crap that is the coolest. Of particular interest is the hands-free thing - I just returned from a wedding where the issue of wine spillage was a constant irritation, since clearly I wanted to maximize both dancing and drinking. Das boot around the neck would seem to optimize those.

My Fiancée and I are realizing more and more that we are all about the Fun. One Fun Thing we are considering is having live music be a part of the processional, like my dad wailing away on his saxophone, and me plucking my banjo or guitar as I await my lovely bride at the non-altar altar. Another fun thing we're considering is a hamburger bar. And maybe homemade Pop Tarts for weddings favors.

I'm a huge fan of your updated axiom, especially the Something Witty part. We need humor every day, and especially on our wedding day. I love making up new expressions. When I was searching for an engagement ring for my 'prometida,' I ended up getting her a little blue sapphire stone on a white gold band, in no small part due to the fact that her eyes are a similar color. So I proposed the following:

"Eyes of blue, ring of blue, a happy marriage waits for you."

I'm pretty sure that'll catch on. Red works too: "Eyes of red, ring of red, love will always grace your bed." That's more sexytimes, but, you know.
