This post brings me great joy. Seeing those photos with little Francis and reading about his (and his parents') surprise visit brought tears to my eyes. You are truly blessed, and we are blessed to have your wise words and advice. Thank you for sharing.

Please explain how objecting to descriptions of violent sex acts by a convicted rapist on public airwaves is a "feminist stance." Are so-called feminists the sole arbiters of what language about women is and is not appropriate? I hope not, because the so-called feminists at NOW have yet to voice any objection to this activity. Tyson's comments are an affront to human decency.

Thank you for revealing your true self. Let this be a warning to all the women--no, strike that, humans--in your life. I don't care how one chooses to characterize Tyson's comments--it's filth, plain and simple, as is anyone who tries to excuse it.

Thanks for continuing to shine a light on this disgusting behavior, Dana. I, like you, refuse to believe that this is just "how guys talk."

This is from her facebook post the day after the "hobbit" comments. She refers to herself and the tea party as "little people," as did Tolkien.

"Out here in proverbial politico flyover country, we little folk are watching the debt ceiling debate with great interest and concern. Today I re-read the open letter I wrote to Republican Freshman Members of Congress in November 2010, just days after they were ushered into office in an historic landslide victory due in large part to the activism of commonsense patriots who are considered part of the Tea Party movement. I respectfully ask these GOP Freshman to re-read this letter and remember us “little people” who believed in them, donated to their campaigns, spent hours tirelessly volunteering for them, and trusted them with our votes. This new wave of public servants may recall that they were sent to D.C. for such a time as this."

Me too davesmom. Plus, I read somewhere that Obama's poll numbers go up when the birth certificate issue gets a lot of attention. I wonder what Hillbuzz's motives are in calling so much attention to it all of a sudden. I remember when "birther" comments would get you banned from Hillbuzz. Now, you've got a Dem governor and the "conservative, but Hillary-loving boyz" at Hillbuzz giving it all kinds of press. What gives?
