Ripley is hands down amazing. I'm honestly surprised that there was no mention of Buffy Summers before the comments chimed in though. She's just such a go-to within this topic. I love Arya, but I'm in the second book of ASOIAF and I'm really curious to see how Sansa turns out. I mean, I've heard some stuff about her future, but really between the series and the books, she's still a strong female character, she just makes some bad judgement calls. Consider how young she is and the world she lives in, who can really blame her? But yeah, waiting to see how she turns out before fully declaring her a favorite or least favorite. I do know there's some other interesting ladies in the future.

Barbara Gordon/Batgirl/Oracle is my number one badass chick. Strong, gutsy, and not even the Joker could truly stop her at what she did. In my case, I also like that she has a librarian background. I've loved all the Batgirls though to be honest. It kills me that she likely won't make it to a solid Bat-picture.

Not bad, but something feels off about the body. Maybe they photoshopped something and it didn't even out? Or the pose. It's a great pose, with the shield and all, but maybe that's what's making me feel like his torso/shoulders/arms look funny.

I love it, skinny and all. I really want to see the mask though. Check out the wrists! Webshooters, yeah? Maybe? Also I don't the any issue with him being slender. I never thought it was much about strength and muscles when it came to Spiderman and he's supposed to be a teen here, right?

I'm dying to see how that's going to turn out myself!

I'm not really sure storyline-wise, but I don't hate it. Like someone else said, it looks better than the Green Lantern trailer. I actually hadn't heard that Portman was involved. I like her, but I'm always unsure about big name girlfriend-types. Can't we get some lady hero films for them? Maybe not Portman specifically, but still.

As someone who's coming late to this party, I'm really underwhelmed. It's visually nice and all, but Jeremy is right about the Green Lantern being serious. This looks like Iron Man Goes Green, and while how that was handled fun and interesting for Iron Man it just doesn't fly here. It'll be a fun flick and people will like it, but not in the way they like the source material.

Not to mention they'll never do what I think they should do. What I think would be interesting is if they did a movie for each Earth based Green Lantern. This though, won't happen.

Ron and Hermione make me think of people who have trouble expressing their feelings to one another. To me it's realistic enough considering I think Ron was the slowest maturing out of the trio, even in the books. Admittedly that was something I loved about him. Ginny and Harry are just utterly wooden and awkward in their relationship. It's difficult to watch in the films. I do feel like Harry and Hermione are portrayed to appear like they could just step into a relationship, but I think they wanted it that way. I think they wanted it to look so effortless for them because of how difficult it is for Hermione and Ron.

I'm a crier. We went to a showing that included the previous two films before hand. I bawled when Dumbledore died yet again.

I felt it was amazingly well done. The traveling scenes could have been long and dull, but instead they were interesting and at times beautiful. You really see the friendship that Harry and Hermione have grown to have in the movies moreso than they did in the books. Yes, they were friends in the books and they were close, but DanRad and Emma have always had a great chemistry and play really well off of one another. The animation during the story telling scene was interesting and really drawing, it still held something of the darkness in the film, but wasn't some awful ominous thing. It was pleasant and attractive! I enjoyed the Dobby and Kreacher scenes, especially when they interact together because it was cute. Dobby is such a sweet character and his demise while I knew it was going to happen still struck me deeply. I saw the movie at midnight in a mostly full theater. As soon as they Apparated away and Bellatrix threw the knife, you could hear everyone stiffen. The entire place was silent but for quiet "No!"'s, gasps, and sniffles. Once it was obvious, at least half of us were in tears. I was very pleased with how that was handled.
Things that disappointed me however was the lack of Wormtail's betrayal and the fact that Dean is yet to be seen. Perhaps he's already at Shell Cottage or perhaps he's cut entirely, but that disappointed me. Maybe they felt the plight of the Muggleborn was seen enough by actually having Ron interact with his "wife" when he was Polyjuiced? I'm always curious at how some things get cut while other things remain. That's almost always what bothers me about these films. Why cut this? I need to re-read the book for a better critique of what was missing though.

Huh, maybe when they get to 12 Grimmauld Place? They hide out there at one point while they're planning their next move.

Gorgeous. I mean, come on, it's THE MOMENT in that book! It's perfect. Hands down. The end of an era never looked so, well, perfect.
