Our cost of living has gone up over the last 20 years but our salary has almost remain stagnant. I remember when i first started work after my graduation in 1979 I was drawing RM2000 salary a month. After 32 years fresh graduates today are still drawing the same starting pay. Prices of goods and foodstuffs were so cheap then but today it has more than double or even triple. Without the subsidy how is the poor and salary earners going to make ends meet??
