And exactly when did Israel do anything that provided any benefit to the US? The Suez crisis? That was the last time the US actually stood up to Israel! The Six-Day War? The Yom Kippur War? That led directly to an OPEC oil embargo that was deeply felt in the US! Invading Lebanon? Yep, huge benefits for the US... right? No? OK, no benefit whatsoever! Bombing Iraq's nuclear reactor? Saddam was an ally then. The problem with the notion that Israel was America's ally in a hostile, dangerous part of the world is... most of that danger and hostility arose from the creation of Israel, and US support for it! Look, I don't actually mean to harangue you. If you can name just one event to support your statement, I'm listening.

Question to all: did anyone go to YNet's site and read the comments that are posted there for this article? if you have ever doubted that the majority residing in 'israel', and some who claim to be US-'israeli' citizens, are paranoid, psychotic lunatics, doubt no more. there are people from the US that are saying things like "next time torpedo the ships", "do what you gotta do" and calling the peace activists "terrorists" and Hamas forerunners. I would choose Hamas AND Hizb'ullah over any of these... ummm ... is there even a word to describe this lot?! really, i've run out of adjectives, and none of them suffice. anyone, help me out here...
