I like this article and what Greenwald and Snowden are doing is very necessary. Look at Egypt tpday and see why. After all that work, that the PEOPLE did tp bring down a corrupt Egyptian government, the military took over and dissed a freely elected president. Whether a person agrees with Morsi or not, he was elected and change is never instant, although military coups seem to be. Where is Morsi anyway; dead, alive in the same place as MubaraK? After that, ALL criticism of the government seems to be militarily denied and enforced. The NSA, like the Egyptian military takeover needs to be stopped .America has a Constitution and Egypt was getting one; the citizens of both nations face the same questionable future. We need all the Greenwalds and Snowdens that we can get.

Good points Chris. Telling us what is already known with its major effect of intimidating the sheeple even more & using that ''anti-establishment" cover to more effectively attack the nations & leaders in the CIA establishment's gunsights is not fastidious "purism", but the burning- issue heart of the matter. BTW, though the analogy is grossly exaggerated & not intended for comparison, I understand Dr. Mengele & Hitler loved children. Someone also pointed out that limited hangout propagandists pretend to say something bad about someone to actually say something good; like "Hitler beats his dog" (& pretend to say something good about someone to actually say something bad, like say, Assad & Gadaffi are "brutal, horrific tyrants", but love children & dogs)

I like and respect Greenwald as a person and a journalist/ whistleblower. But could care less about what he does in his private life. Next time you write an article leave the dirty laundry in clothes basket instead of airing it out for everyone to see on clothes line.

People who love dogs are the best. Dogs are the angels come to earth to save us. We are here to serve them and without them our existence is irrelevant. I know the above sounds silly...especially from an atheist, but I am not the first to judge people in their relationship with animals...dogs particularly. I am an old woman now and have never known anyone who loved dogs as well as Glenn Greenwald to have evil intent. As he discovered Snowden's ethics in his devotion to Comic book heroes, I see Greenwald's ethics in his devotion to Canines. There may be a cosmic reason we call dogs are best friends and that the word spelled backward is a diety.

All these movie references. It's like 50-60 years of American pop culture trivia have all come back full circle in this post-modern saga of Fast Eddie and the Cruisers. Did they get Wes Anderson or Quentin Tarantino to direct this? Certainly going for the hipster set with the Midnight Cowboy reference. But hey, those lazy disaffected gamers aren't being left out. How nice of Glenn's boyfriend to expose him to the value of "low art". All the while we know that Glenn doesn't read Stan Lee but Proust. Had to make sure we get those digs in against Russia.
