Harken back to the first months of the Clinton Administration. For years, President Reagan's Strategic Defense Initiative was ridiculed as outrageous, too expensive, or just not doable. Couldn't be done or shouldn't be done, so said the Democrats (I was in the Reserves and did not vote for Reagan, but I thought it was a practical and attainable objective). "Star Wars" they called it, running the idea into the ground just as Obama and the Democrats have run our interrogators into the ground for doing their job. Just as they have done everything they can to expose who our people are, what they do and how they do it. So, in his first big press event, the Clinton Secretary of Defense, Les Aspin was asked if "Star Wars" was dead. After much double speak, he essentially said that the project had a new name and was being further funded. It's called lying about the other side to get into office.

Obama is making the same mistake that Bill Clinton made and that is treating terrorism as a law enforcement matter. The end result of Clinton's mismanagement was the 9-11 disaster. I hope that Obama's policies do not end up with the same result. I wonder if Obama will reinstitute Clinton's policy where the CIA and FBI cannot share intelligence reports. Clinton made some huge security blunder, but at least he didn't try to institute a plan where our soldiers have to read "Miranda" rights to terrorists captured on the battle field, or grant "constitutional" rights to captured enemy combatants.

I wish Obama and Eric Holder were so hot under the collar about the prisoner abuse by the Al-Quaida terrorists. If the CIA stopped just one attack it was worth the interrogation. Did any of the terrorists have their throats slit? I don't think so. That is what they would to any of us if they had the chance. Obama is just trying to change the subject from health care to their favorite subject "America Hating". Well we won't take our eyes off the ball. Obama's war on health care and all of us are the prisoners.

This is the kind of micromanagement the Johnson Administration did in Vietnam. Worked out real well didn't it. Watch the Intell dry up. Solid human intelligence has been the key to winning every war we have ever fought and the Left has been consistent since 1947 to do everything they can to ruin this part of the intelligence business. This will do nothing but needlessly kill American troops in combat and imperil the civilian community at home; all for the sake of politcal correctness and attempting to get people who will always hate us to somehow like us, as well as placating the Looney Left faction in this country.
