Developers can actually grow rose bushes without thorns. I have viewed the web site of one in Coronado who in one breath tells you there is a huge demand for homes, and on the other has a couple of "fire sale" homes as the owners head elsewhere. I don't think he posted any stories about the man who went missing (later found dead) in that "safe" community. If he's got the guts he should copy and paste this story, or attend the meeting and offer to provide protection or give a good price fore exiting expats.

I actually had a developer, when asked about crime in Coronado area, say "there's not much crime, it's just that the gringos make a big deal of it". Another said "even though there's a gate at the entrance, this is not a gated community, you're on your own" Perhaps if they don't sell their properties, they'll start to take more interest in security.

No weapon discussions??? WHY?? You afraid the "police" will take them away and put you in prison??? Sure the bad guys have them but you don't. Just like what they want back in the ol USSA. Wake up sheeple....guns are your only protection. If all those folks were carrying their would be 5 dead perps in the restaurant. Shoot 1st and ask no questions or answer no questions from the police. Just up and leave. The other great security option and 1st line of defense is adopt a dog or 2 for your house. Criminals NEVER enter a house with a barking dog!!!! Pit bulls and Pit mixers are great family dogs and also they are very loyal to their humans. Don't believe the propaganda from the states, it's all BS. We had 9 and never had anything but lots of love and kisses from them. Now the 2 attempts at entering our property was met with a drastic outcome. 2 of the perps were mauled almost as if they were hit by a grenade. 1 perp lost a nut and the other is wearing his a s s on his face. He spent 3 months in the hospital and underwent 3 surgeries to help restore him back to an almost human appearance. BTW, did I mention that they were local cops??? They were never charged with anything as they had no warrant and were just casing the place. They were transferred to another district. As for my situation, all the cops wanted was to take my dogs for "investigation". Yeah right!!! We told them fine we'll open the door and you can get them in your truck. Those trolls couldn't run fast enough to get out of there. My dogs were just doing what they were suppose to do and were trained for. We have "No Trespassing" signs posted with a warning of "Security Dogs Present", both in English and Spanish but the trolls figured they knew better. ROTFLMAO So please go to a shelter and adopt a few dogs....you will have saved their lives and have found a very loyal, loving dog to enjoy your life with. Or, likely they are involved in the activity. I had friends robbed and bound in CR and when they went to the police station to do the paperwork the next day two of their assialants were sitting behind desks in their "other" uniforms. Why I left CR, guess its time to leave PTY!

It took police 50 minutes to get to a location that was 5 minutes away ? ? This is starting to sound like Costa Rica. Police wait until the bad guys have left ( danger is gone ) then they arrive to write their reports. Just the way it's done in Costa Rica

How can a bunch of old retired gringos get these criminal punks arrested? Only the local police have the authority to arrest them and only a local judge has the authority to convict them.
