There is no place for sharia law in this country. This is a nation founded by Christians. Our form of government is based on Biblical truths. Our Constitution is based in the Mosaic Law. There is no place for sharia law.

Hear! Hear! It's not enough that sharia has no chance of being implemented where its tenets conflict with American law, we need to make sure that it is never used, and we should do the same thing where Jewish law is allowed for legal disputes. And in addition to forcing Muslim Americans to check their sharia-based beliefs at the door, we need to ensure that Catholics renounce loyalty to the Pope. Ditto with the Mormons.

Muslims by definition are anti-American and our way of life. For centuries they have been trying to shove Islam down out throats. It is both the weakness and strengths of an open free society that we have and some of Europe also. Germany has finally awaken from their sleep and Britian is not far behind in getting rid of these invaders. Read the quran a real one not the lies they put out for general consumption every one will then realize we have taken in a deadly viper that means to do us harm through our own system of government after all we have one as President.

Sharia is a crime, not a law. Enforcement of sharia should be prosecuted as felony assault. I'd no more allow sharia as anything more than suggested guidelines for Islamic citizens than allow the Ku Klux Klan to write ethnic tolerance laws or the liberals to play with the economy!

I agree 100%. I have been overseas and you must abide by their laws and customs while there. You have no rights and as such we should not bend over backwards to accomodate them. This is just their subtle way of slowly taking over. which is what they are taught to do from birth.

Sharia Law has NO place in America. It needs to be stopped ASAP. Islam is not a religion, it is a political system passed off as religion. It is unbelievable that America is tolerating this sort of murder in the name of religion. I am really concerned and a little frightened by how much power and pull Islam is getting in this country. From the White House on down everyone is just opening the doors and letting them do whatever they want. Europe is seeing their mistake in letting Islam become too powerful, America needs to do the same and stop it now before it's too late.

When someone swear to defend the Constitution of the United States they automatically denounce Sharia law and any other law that is contrary to the Constitution. Newt Gingrich has broken this vow numerously and should be counted as an enemy of the Constitution just like those who advocate Sharia law.

Isn't that what we are seeing already in community take-overs (Dearborn, Mi, for instance)... in intimidation of non-muslims.....in manipulation of our judicial system....in the brutality against women in muslim communities......in the ''honor'' killings of daughters.....in demanding the silence of people who exercise their first amendment right to speak the truth about Islam....in insisting that the gov meets their outrageous demands and complys to Islamic law? For our own survival, Americans MUST recognize that Islam is a MALE SUPREMIST, FASCISTIC POLITICAL BELIEF SYSTEM which uses all the religious trappings... (ritual garb and inflaming, sanctimonious rhetoric)... while planning the FORCED SUBMISSION of the whole world to allah. The directive of the Quran and haddiths to establish Islam as THE one world religion, is taken seriously by Quran-obeying muslims who will stop at nothing to win their place in paradise. Anyone can committ a crime and call it religion. To believe something is one thing but, to act unlawfully on that belief is another thing completely. No person has the right to abuse another and excuse that by quoting religion.

Many past American laws have been taken off the books simply because they were unjust. Sharia Law fits into that category also. It is an old harsh system of thinking and should be banned just like the past US laws that deprived women and Black people of their rights as American citizens.

All people hoping to take office or to become an American citizen should be required to swear that they will uphold and abide by the Constitution and American laws as much as they are able.
