The truth really has to compete with those misapplying facts of new discovered truths…always has…and why we need a free marketplace of ideas. That is why I am not really being upset that the Preterists are using this forum. It is better to have such ideas out in the open for inspection than to have them secretly created and slyly promulgated. And outside their perversion of understanding the Israel question, I like their conservative political concepts...at least concerning internal affairs of state, and here, with these caveats, is where I enjoy Joel, even Gary's input.

It is not hard to be stuck in tradition, and Catholic tradition is from whence those promoting the Preterist position come from, though the actual intent was to leave the Catholic innovations. Many from the reformed doctrine group DID continue trying to divest tradition from Bible and these were the ones coming up with the Dispensational doctrines that the American Vision group detest. But part of the Preterist detour was not being able to change their own ancient reformed doctrines formulated by scholars and divines that were but a small group of Christians. When the bad thing the Islamic folk did in chasing out the Byzantines turned to our good in the distribution of the Greek scriptures, as well as that of the Septuagint, and thus a more intense interest in scripture by the majority of the people, and the closer reading of the English translations now had by the common people, a larger group of perspectives introduced us to the understanding of the rapture and the new interest in ethnic Israel and God's plan for this people to rule over them in spite of their sins and causing the gentiles to blaspheme God...but also to more of the true fantasy.

There is so much else to say that is not said…but the main point made here is that the reluctance to acknowledge Israel today, which is but the infrastructure of that being dealt with after the rapture, is because of their failed eschatology and ecclesiology, and while the churches on every corner are the only game in town concerning testimony today of the gospel, this does not negate that there is a possibility of one third of the Jews in Israel are potential brothers in Christ and the same ignorance of who the elect are as shown in Matthew 25 concerning the sheep nations, when showing the Jews of Israel favor, ought be rewarded as well in this time before the rapture…only we go alive with changed and spiritual bodies into the kingdom of the Millennium reigning over the alive Jews and gentiles during that thousand years, whereas they just go in with living bodies still capable of bearing children to populate the lands during the Millenium.

The victory is to the Kingdom of which Christ has control…the church, being visible and local, a complete assembly with Christ as head, in each community will have our own resurrection, rewards, and responsibilities OVER the living gentiles and Israel during the thousand years Kingdom period. There IS no such thing as a universal, invisible assembly now or in the future. There WILL be a general assembly at some time in the future, but it is NOT the church we know of today. There will be individual victory over death during the rapture, and there will be a general resurrection, of the rest of the righteous old testament saints and those killed after the rapture, at the coming of Jesus before the Millennium, and there will be no MORE righteous folk dying, though many sneaky holders out concerning salvation during the tyranny of righteousness found during the Millennium.

At this time, except for individual Jews who are Christian, the whole lot of ethnic Israel identified as Jews are in a terrible spiritual condition, and in one of His greatest demonstrations of mercy, outside, perhaps, of that given to the gentiles, God is again going to deal with this people, subjugate her and save a substantial remnant of about a third…uh…AFTER the rapture and about the time He is coming down to save the Jews in Judea and Jerusalem. The seven years after the rapture are NO churches, but individual Christians, either hiding or dying, and many of these who can actually physically “endure until the end,” and that is when Christ appears, Jesus will honor as shown concerning the sheep nations in Matthew 25, where, “among these the least these my brethren” ARE THE CONVERTED THIRD OF THE JEWS found in Zechariah 12-14. They will go alive into the Millennium, I am not sure Joel even believes in such a thing. We get Victory through Jesus wherever HE succeeds in this or that.

You have in Joel, and possibly Ron Paul, concerning Libertarianism I am close to except in the perverted understanding of Israel's existence, a failed Preterist supporter, jealous that the "church" appears not to have the victory, thinking the state of Israel is vying for the attention of being something during this age. Preterists cannot HAVE Israel as being an entity of God’s attention because ethnic Israel is supposed to have been rendered non-existent in about 70 AD, or choose whatever the correct word Preterist deign to honor their ignoring of the current state of Israel. Forget that the easier understanding of eschatology will have Israel ALREADY a state, not necessarily in a converted condition, at the time He begins to work on her, because God IS still upset and desires to RULE over this rebellious people, and that, not for any righteousness that is in her but because of the insult to His name they have brought about, He desires to justify his attention on her for His NAME’S SAKE, like He did before, time after time.
