Actually Steve said they learned a lot about curved glass from their apple stores (glass staircases etc.). He did not said it was from their products.

I agree that would be awesome, but I doubt it'll ever happen, since carriers are not too happy with these services (skype, BBM, whatsapp, and now iMessage). They rather sell expensive minutes, than 1 flat rate data fee.

Lately there's been a big debate in Holland where carriers are hinting at blocking these services and charging extra for them, claiming they are losing too much money over it.
