Big Government : Romney: A Campaign that Only Millions of Dollars Could Buy

Being Mitt Romney's VP would be the absolute biggest betrayal of his cult like followers. I don't think their systems could handle it. There would be mass Ronulan suicides if that is the case. I think that Ron Paul is just an opportunist, he already knows that Newt is on the wane with voters, But Santorum is still on the upswing. So if he helps Mitt knock him out, he will be the last semi-conservative standing and he thinks he will have a chance to win the nomination.

No matter how many times Ann Coulter says otherwise, Romney is a Big Government northeast LIBERAL. Conservatives will most likely sit at home come November when faced with the unenviable position of having to choose between the lesser of two liberals. When will the GOP learn not to simply shove the next guy in line down the party's throat? Calling Romney a conservative is like calling a hooker virtuous. He (his candidacy) offends the sensibilities of actual conservatives.

Big Government : Arizona Bill Designed to Stop Teachers Who Use Classrooms to Promote Their Political Agendas

Politics has no place in the classroom until secondary school civics. Partisan indoctrination has no place in Public schools EVER. I have had to have this conversation with my Children's teachers on several occasions. My middle kid was in 2nd grade in 08 during the last Presidential election, Those teachers were actually teaching kids, through a "mock election" that everyone who cared about the environment and "people" should vote for Barack Obama. She told me that "Everyone" in her school was going to vote for Barack Obama. I always challenge my kids when they use absolutes or universals, so I asked "Everyone"? and she said "Well everyone except that one weird girl". This is the kind of shameful crap public school teachers do, they have ceased to be educators in favor of being partisan political hacks and indoctrination specialists .

Big Government : Of Profits and Power: Education Establishment Attacks Digital Learning

I remember as a kid the teachers who loved their jobs. They were not that well paid then, but I also remember the teachers who hated their jobs, I am pretty sure I got better grades in the classes with teachers who loved their jobs. Now there are so few teachers who are simply dedicated to the profession out of passion and too many who are motivated by getting theirs, that they have become political hacks instead of educators.

Well, to both of you, I don't care why they/we did it. I just care that they did it, and what devastation it caused. I was only making a comparison in terms of civilian suffering when military's hit soft targets.

Billy, nothing I posted indicates or implies any support for the Japanese war effort against the United States, nor would I ever wish to convey such. Becoming what we despise is not what I would want for us. We are just discussing historic occurrences. **BTW the "Estimate" of how many more American soldier's lives it might have taken to defeat Japan without bombing those cities is 100000, not a million.

Yeah Sherman was a SOB, but then war is hell. They always get the SOBs to do the dirty work. What Sherman did to SC and Georgia pales in comparison to what we did to Nagasaki and Hiroshima in the name of "getting the war over with already". Sherman always knew history would be a harsh judge on him. What he did was an extension of US policy coming out of the Whitehouse. They had to break the back of the confederacy in order to gut the tenth amendment and establish a strong federal government in contravention of the constitution. The Southern States gave them a free hand to do it by embracing, and refusing to give up slavery.

Big Government : Yet Another Taxpayer-Funded University Study Smears Fox News

The point is that those conducting the study are suspect. They likely view the Fox News aficionado to be mal informed on any subject, so they fashion a study to prove not only are fox viewers misinformed, but Comedy central viewers are also smarter. Now how can we assume that they are biased? Other than the obvious campaign donations pointed out int eh article, there is a damning lack of any studies done by this duo that would indicate otherwise. Like I asked above, where is the study that asks Comedy central viewers about the core message of the Tea party? They are not even interested in the question, they are not interested in informing opinion, rather in just shaping them in the image of their own particular worldview. This is called propaganda.

So all the people who did not pay close enough attention to how the question was asked ended up picking the phrase that they happen to agree with. I wonder why these clowns haven't done a study to show how misinformed Comedy central viewers are about the core message of the tea party? Here's a sample question they could put out there: Which comes closest to the core message of the tea party? We want to be greedy racist bastards and never give anything we earn away in a charitable way and get rid of that muslim in the white house OR Lower taxes, Constitutionally limited government ( back to the 17 enumerated powers) and Fiscal responsibility AND accountability from government. I would bet you that 74% of Comedy central viewers would pick the first one... The study is a low brow practice of propaganda 101.

The article doesn't make sense? How about the study not making sense? THe study starts with two premises: 1. The central message of OWS is “Too few people control the majority of the nation’s wealth and power.” 2. Fox News viewers are not as well informed about premise number one as Comedy central viewers. And tax pay money funded that idiocy?

Which would still qualify him as being dumb as a rock ( for having been a fox news viewer). I know fox news leans heavily to the right, the thing that amazes me is that lefties think that the traditional outlets NBC etc. are "Impartial" and that they don't pepper the news with their own political worldview.
