and i agree with both of you as far as punishing harshly for minor things.. however as you see in daisy dukes post she doesnt think child molestation is minor.. and me I think child molestation is very major and also anyone that keeps it underwraps I think has committed a major crime.. If more people felt that way the amish wouldnt hide it so well and more cases would be reported and u would be astounded...

they dont believe in violence??? omg what about the crime that was committed u dont think it showed violence to do that to a young child especially when they felt the pain and terror filled their little body?? And I consider it a crime to protect the person that did this or anyone that trys to hide it.. shunning only means that they cant eat at the same table for their family meals as a person that has been baptized into the church per say you are a female and you have been baptized your brother molests and rapes your 5 year old baby sister shunning just means that now you and him cant sit down to eat together you can serve him his dinner but he cant serve you he can still eat a family meal at the same table in the chair right beside your sister he raped he can also serve her anything to eat or drink that he likes and the other part of shunning he has to leave immediately after church he cant hang out and get served dinner or gossip with fellow members yet he can take the smaller children home with him so Mom and Dad can gossip in peace and big whoop he cant go to the auction barn.. wow as you see he still has complete access to the little one while mom and Dad go leaving him in charge of the little ones nope you cant do anything about it he is stronger than you and line up its not just your sissy anymore..
