When a corporation goes under the owners (CAN YOU SAY SHAREHOLDERS) do take a loss as their title to ownership (shares) become worthless. You seem to equate the term CEO with owner. The CEO is an employee just as the janitor. If you are not a shareholder (OWNER), employee compensation is none of your business.

It's amazing how short of a memory your folks have. I supposed you have no memory of the "Luxury Tax" that was supposed to punish those vile evil rich snobs that purchased fancy cars and ostentatious yachts. Tell me, how many working class slobs lost their jobs because of this wonderful exercise of class envy? Yachts require boatyards and cars require mechanics. Yeah, the poor underclass you so righteously support. You folks hate rich people so much that you would fire a shotgun into a crowd of workers if you had a outside chance of wounding an evil capitalist..

Why should you or I care how much money Bill Gates makes? Does it make a difference whether he makes 1 or 10 billion dollars? How many people have the Gates of the world put in productive employment? Do the "idle rich" stuff their mattresses with filthy lucre? Who will support your life of pious leisure when you've squandered all of Gate's wealth?

Is it toooooo far fetched to imagine wheat crops in Alaska or Siberia? Maybe the empowered women might just become farmers of the massive government lands that would be open to an Oklahoma style land rush.

My daughter attended the Air Force Academy in the late 90's. One day she called home in a state and blurted out that everyone there was a male chauvenist pig. She then said that it did not matter because she knew how do deal with them as she had been raised by the greatest of them all. She is now very successful as an Air Force leader as she has no illusions of how men think.

I just wish someone with a larger megaphone would call Obama out on his blame Bush tactic for the "mess" in Afganistan. He selected Gate to continue his office a Secretary of Defense. All knowledgeable people know that the Sec of Defense is the person who formulates and advises the POTUS on military policy and strategy. By keeping Gate on is an admission that his administration was aware and agreed with this key area of his campaign platform. Gates is either responsible for the mess or a YES man. If Obama truly believes he was handed a mess, the Gates should go.
