OMG, what a potentially devastating article! I don't know ONE PHYSICIAN who would order an MRI, Dual Isotope Perfusion scan, or a Cardiac CT without first doing a good physical on a patient, including blood work. Articles like these are what scares patients into not following the advice of a doctor and later die because something was missed. STOP with the scare tactics, STOP with the misinformation. Consumer Reports?! Why would I take medical advice for an organization that evaluates toasters. Bad bad bad journalism.

Hmmm... Next time I see a huge line at the pay booths, should I just breeze on through, knowing it's not going to cost me anything different? What a stupid idea! Now everyone's going to just go through and pay the $4 when the bill comes. How many extra people are they going to have to hire to handle the increased volume?
