So an air marshal would be able to stop a suicide bomber from detonating an explosive device?? Doubtful... He could defend a hijacking, but not an IED...
Really then... Enlighten me
Oh, I see, just give me the thumbs down and don't answer me... Continue spreading rumors...
And promptly get sued in a class-action suit for BILLIONS by all the Muslims who you just searched without cause... The only way to get around this is to have EVERYONE submit to searches, along with truly random additional screening...
Because the airlines are just ROLLING in profits right now...
Almost all Israelis are former military... Probably has something to do with mandatory 3 years (2 for women) service upon turning 18. So, you could also say, that most of their bus drivers, accountants, cooks, nurses and so on and so forth are all 'well trained former military'. Somehow, I don't think that would fly here (even though it would do a heck of a lot towards obesity and general lack of respect).
The procedure change was coming before the printer cartridge scare happened...
Is there a link to that article? I haven't heard ANYTHING about this...
"All those hassles"? Like locking your disassembled weapon in a hard sided case, and telling the airline people when you check the bag? Oh, poor you...
And what would be the public reaction to profiling?? Cries of unconstitutionalism? Except then they would be correct. The Fourth Amendment (as it has always been explained to me) refers to CRIMINAL searches. So, yes, arguably, if someone found child porn or some other illegal substance during an ADMINISTRATIVE search (which is what TSA conducts) then there would have to be a chain of causes that would lead one to discover the substance. What I'm saying is that if the TSA person sees reason to search your wrist, then they cannot go and feel you butt for the heck of it. Now, if they found something fishy with your wrist (say, wires coming out of your watch) then they could initiate further searches, but ONLY if they have actual reason to do so...
