For such a nationalistic people, it's surprising to see six of the ten brands are not Japanese, and only one in the top five is Japanese.

Samsung clearly didn't send their teams far for inspiration on the packaging and accessories. The local Apple store was far enough.

My comment was sarcastic if you didn't realise. My point wasn't about analysts predictions, it was your comment. Why does Apple need the Chinese market? It doesn't to continue making the best products.
Of course it would keep the investors happy if they did, but it's not key to Apple's continued success.
