Big Peace : Quran Burning a PSYOP Failure in Afghanistan

The prisoners deface a few korans which require the korans to be destroyed. Somebody (Taliban) tosses them into a trash can then points it out to the military who quickly remove them from the trash. The military is told that the koran must be destroyed since they have been defaced. The korans are placed in a burn bag and incinerated with the normal destruction of classified material. The Taliban then rats out the military for doing such a thing and the usual community organizers rally the ignorant peasants into demonstrating. Of course, no one mentions the 4 Afghanis beheaded in another part of Afghanistan for carrying satellite phones or the usual honor slayings that are directed at young females. Islam, under the taliban/al qaeda/muslim brotherhood, seems to be a religion easily manipulated for political gain.

Big Government : Teachers' Unions to Rahm Emanuel: Hey, How About a 30% Pay Raise

Don't tie raises to graduation rates. The teachers will game the system worse than they are doing now. You want better graduation rates? Teach the test. You will have better graduation rates but they will mostly be semi-literate at best and illiterate at worst. But then you have to have remedial teachers in college to bring these illiterates up to speed to barely pass college courses. Keep an eye on the tote boards in front of most schools and judge how many have misspelled words on them. Note to students/teachers; if you want to succeed in your chosen profession be adept at writing a page of english prose with no punctuation, spelling and grammar errors. Critical thinking and writing is becoming a lost art in the colleges and workplace. People who can read, write and do basic math are in increasing demand. Be prepared to understand basic economics and know who your customers are. Hint; it is not you!

Big Government : School District Wants Teachers in the Classroom Full-Time, but the Union Won't Agree

I always wonder what group of yahoos approved these contracts in the first place? Want a real thrill? Go to the next union extravaganza euphemistically referred to as a "Teacher's convention." A stunning group of illiterate, professorial poseurs you will likely never find anywhere else in such a concentrated mass. One other item of interest. The small group of teachers who are not qualified to teach rarely get fired but are transferred quietly to another school or rubber room thanks to the unions. I suggest, at a minimum, an active PTA that demands transparency in all matters relating to the children's teaching environment.

Big Government : Obama’s Cynical Revenge on Wall Street: The $61 Billion Fine

Do we see a pattern developing? Proposed 30% capital gains tax over present 15% and now he wants to take away our chance at dividends paid that will now go to out-of-favor friends on Wall Street? Obama has more brass than a "coney island fire truck."

Big Government : Member of Education Establishment: Parents Don't Know What's Best for Their Children

Let me get this straight. The products of our education system are too ignorant to understand the importance of reading, writing and arithmetic for their children? That is stunning in it's stupidity. Our teaching schools must be an echo chamber of fools praising each other's incompetence.

Big Government : 'The Impeachment of Richard Nixon and Other Things That Never Happened,' by Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee

Don't forget democratic congressman Hank Johnson from Georgia famously telling a military commander that more troops on that island would cause it to "tip over" and sink into the ocean. It being a small island of course. When his laughable statement was pointed out to him he blamed us for not understanding his intention. In the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king.

The auto companies could have accomplished the same goal by filing Chapter 11 or Chapter 13 saving us all billions of dollars. If that isn't a smoking gun proving that the unions were bought and paid to vote democratic I don't know what is. I note in passing that Ford and cars from Germany, Japan and Korea didn't need a bailout. I doubt if they would have been offered one anyway from this administration.

Keep the left on the run and off-balance. Glad to hear there is sanity in Wisconsin in general and Madison in particular. They make a mockery of our system of government. Next step would be to bring charges against a group that knowingly submits fraudulent signatures and make an example of them.

Breitbart.tv : Steven Tyler Attempts National Anthem

It is no surprise that the selection committee that chooses these freaks have low standards. Did they choose Tyler with no audition? Are we witnessing a pattern of disrespect among those chosen, with the support of the committee, who predictable butcher the song? The message being the medium, a strong case can be made that reverence for icons America should revere and respect are being cloaked as entertainment and disrespect. The Air Force plane that flew over on cue is meant to remind citizens that there are men and women who are in harm's way so that the rest of us can enjoy our way of life safely. The liberals who okayed this travesty have forgotten or are deliberately promulgating their bias against our heritage. People should know better than to plug their ears and turn away from the flag during parades to talk on the cell phone. They should also be ashamed of themselves if they act like the 49er fans booing the opposing team during Chenowith's excellent presentation of the National Anthem in San Francisco. If we don't take our heritage seriously how can we expect our enemies to take us seriously and our allies to respect us if we don't respect ourselves?

Big Government : Sarah Palin Was Right: Newt Soars

Obama imperfections are many and brazen. We have rarely been treated to so much low-hanging fruit, ripe for picking, as the ruling troika of Obama, Michelle and Valerie "let them eat cake" Jarrett, his real chief-of-staff. We need to hammer home their failure to understand the pride most Americans feel for the greatness and exceptionalism of their country. We are not a country among many but THE COUNTRY among many. Take the troika down piece by piece. Obama and Jarrett spent their formative years outside America. They do not understand this country. Jarrett was born in Iran, which speaks volumes. Obama has roots elsewhere and does not understand, or care for, main street America. The same can be said for the elite in this country whether biased media or ideological professors in our colleges and universities of lower learning. The Liberals have been put on notice. They are off their stride and we need to keep them on the defense if they are to be vanquished. Time to drive a stake through the heart of progressivism. Do Republicans have the nerve? Remains to be seen.

Big Government : BREAKING on Fast and Furious: Cunningham Agrees to Appear Before Issa's Committee, Will Take the 5th

Read between the lines of Romero's letter; Cunningham's testimony would fill some of the gaps created by DOJ stonewalling. Sounds like Cunningham doesn't want to be the first to testify about who knew what and when. He and the DOJ are dancing around the truth chair and he doesn't want to be left standing when the music stops.
Big Peace : A Pilot's Perspective on Michael Yon's Medevac Debate

I believed, and still do, that the Geneva Conventions and anything from the Hague were designed to put Americans and the occasional brave NATO crew in harm's way. The aptly named REMF's were arguably more interested in providing sops to the various state department personnel who were busy arguing and negotiating what shape the negotiating table was acceptable. The real question is this; how many brave souls died to make the progressives feel better about themselves and those killing our troops? One is too many. I'm surprised they didn't make the red cross insignia in day glow orange that glowed in the dark. I wonder if the state department felt bad about dismissing accounts of torture inflicted on our POW's and MIA's? Oh yeah, it didn't fit the narrative and the bigger picture despite the continuing revelations from Hoa Lo. But then we had assurances from Jane Fonda that everything the NVA put out, operating under the benign tutelage of the Russians and Chinese, was truthful.

Big Government : One Month Later, Ohio Voters Are Starting to Understand Why They Should Have Supported SB 5

Never underestimate the progressives who can muster enough out-of-state voters, union thugs, disaffected dropouts, english department lefties preaching their gospel of secularism and marxism, homeless, deceased, incarcerated, addled, and dementia/alzheimer patients in geezer warehouses who can be pimped for the cause. I read about a teacher in Wisconsin who recently went on the record trumpeting the successes of Governor Walker and his program only to be given the full Alinsky treatment of harassment, intimidation, and threats to the point she may have to quit her job or face physical harm. My fingers are crossed that the silent majority in Wisconsin prevail at the polls and stand up to the lefties and their foot soldier anarchists who would rather destroy the system than accept defeat. I foresee property value rates are going down in Ohio and Wisconsin if this continues and people try to move from the state. Time to stand up and be counted.

Endemic voter fraud may bring Walker down in Wisconsin. Know your enemy as the anarchists they are. The recent incident in Portland, OR. where a young "occupy protestor" mom placed her 4 year old child on the track ahead of a train tells you all you need to know about these loons and ideologues embracing revolution and anarchy.
Here is a novel idea. Enforce the law already on the books for insider trading. This latest example of political posturing to use as leverage is politics as usual to reassure the rubes and hicks in flyover country that political grandees are fixing a problem that apparently nobody noticed until they were caught.
