Thank you, Lisa. I couldn't agree more. I get tired of thinking how good my entertainment *could have been* if only someone had bothered to try a little harder to create something engaging. (Incidentally...having read your bio...I LOVED Astronaut Barbie. One of my favs. Had forgotten her until just this moment. ;D)
I have to agree with you. I've been rather disappointed with how the SyFy airing of Monster has been handled...frankly, I had hoped that what I perceived as an altered soundtrack and shorter episodes was just my imagination, but there you are. I would also like to have an unedited version of the series, but if that happens, I have no doubt that it'll take a long time.
Yes! You should definitely try it! I mean, anime is like any kind of television -- there are great ones and there are subpar ones. I'll watch anything, but I'm pretty particular about what I'll recommend. Can't go wrong with Monster, though!
Thanks! I sincerely hope you enjoy reading it. :) I'm tempted to read it again myself!
You make such an excellent point about how updtight everyone is about reading material...especially for high schools. In some cases, yeah, I can get it. But come on. I was really lucky that my parents never really regulated my reading material. They regulated a lot of OTHER things, but somehow my books flew under the radar. ^_^ As a result, though, I know exactly what I like and don't, and what I will tolerate and won't. Other kids should get that opportunity.
I agree with you -- the Adama/Roslin plot was the only one that got its due. I don't know WHAT to think about Starbuck except "Gee, THAT wasn't resolved enough for me." ...and I can't help questioniong what In-Head-Baltar's little "You know he doesn't like to be called that" comment was when Six mentioned God.
I'm no closer to figuring them out when I started the show, really.
LOL...this is excellent. I'm glad he thought it was funny. =D
