Around 2005, I was attending a specialized high school and my roommate was a Gooner. He got me into playing and watching matches (mostly Champion's League) that year. Coming toward the end of the 06-07 season I started following results more closely for the entire Premier League. I decided I wanted to pick a team and follow them. I knew I didn't want a team everybody supported and quickly ruled out Man U, Arsenal, Chelski, and Liverpool. I was intrigued by the battle going on toward the bottom of the table that season and West Ham kept popping up in the news. I watched a couple matches with them and instantly fell in love with the atmosphere of the stadium and the players, namely Tevez. My first memory was of Tevez goal against Tottenham. Even though we lost the match I still remember the pure joy on the face of the fans and Tevez reaction after getting that goal. I was hooked after that and haven't looked back since.
