Big Government : Tuesday Open Thread: Summer Edition

Geez, I'm sorry as heck. My memory was my worst enemy, apparently, until you showed up. I doubt if I smeared anyone, particularly the Rockwell family, as bad as you just did yourself. May I suggest a 1/2 hour with a certified professional. You have anger issues that require immediate attention.

There are various ways to portray yourself as an ass. Two are noted below. (1) You can over indulge at the bar and get behind the wheel. (2) You can poison yourself, and others, with your own words which you make your living. Number one, can be a one time thing as the results can be deadly. Number two, Is repeated over and over again, the end result is you destroyed folks character, their work, and in some cases their lives with no more thought given then checking to see if your paycheck has arrived in your account. Which is worse in the long run, Ebert?

Big Government : General Motors Rapidly Becoming a Taxpayer-Funded, Disingenuous Leftist Entity

GM was originally accused of being "hide bound" or stuck in its own maze of over structured management, Decisions what to produce and how would take years as everyone covered their rears. Now they have traded that, some by their own doing I might add, to be stuck in a over structured management of Government, Unions and decisions based on what is politically correct and Union protectionism. No change in outcome. Still a loser in all respects. Should look like city of Detroit in just a matter of time or when Taxpayers run out of money.

Make that at least two of us that have never watched Stewart except when he is the object of discussion on Fox. I am truly sorry for that and in the future will tune him out as I am tired of him in print (including the "Bigs") and in person. (including Fox)

Frasier gets my support in anything he does, His multiple marriages aside, because he is conservative. Enjoyed his role in Cheers when I wasn't aware of his political leanings. Talented cast and writers, about right as nbr 13 plus or minus.

"Journalists would recoil in horror at thought of Palin Presidency" while wearing their Che Tees! Look at this way, since all of your columns are going to be published in the new updated version "Aesops fables" anyway, you could write them all now and take the next 8 years off.

By the way, I would like to welcome the 30,000 ugly folks rejected recently from the "Beautiful People" dating site, to the Conservative Big sites, as reported in the London newspaper "Guardian". We have so many beautiful people that once were ugly but conservatism relaxes the face and makes you beautiful inside and out. We have seen the ladies the libs are so proud of and well, If you took all the ugly folks away from the Democratic party their wouldn't be a Democratic Party. I mean you have seen Anthony Weiner haven't you? So welcome, your already beginning to look good!

Never lived in a small town so don't know how close, if at all, life was during the early part of the 20th century to the fictionalized Mayberry, but I would take it in a minute over the comparative sophistication of the kids lives now. Loved the show, hated their politics as they became as "Hollywood" as they did later in real life. Andy should have to live with the health care he so admires.

Big Hollywood : Tracy Morgan: Hollywood's New Production Code Worse Than the Old One

The "ONE" and I hope the only one, I believe, originally said he was against same sex marriage. which agrees with the various churches he attended and of course Farrakhan's group of which he is in sympathy. Of course Politics allow you to change your mind about anything and it is OK which is what he did later but only because it was expedient at the time and is subject to change. Of course militant Gays will only harass white churches where it is much safer. Gays will bully those that don't agree with their view but passed a law you can't disagree with them or you are considered a bully. Just try their methods one time.

Herb Cain, voting Black, if may use that term without getting deleted in these PC days, on the Black farmers pigford class action give away, along with Republican Issa, may have kissed his chances of a Pres candidate nomination goodbye, or should have. When you have a conservative that has roots in prevailing Black culture you are going to be surprised, or not, on him attempting to keep his creditbility with the brothers alive and well. That would be ok if they didn't vote 95% liberal. He hasn't yet explained his vote, that I know of, but should be brought to task for it. If he is attempting to buy votes from the Black Community he is casting his net on the wrong side of the boat. That killed J.C.Watts, and Colin Powell, at least as far as I'm concerned. I understand that and a $5.00 bucks will buy you a Starbucks, but first you must assess if you are the only one that feels that way. I think not. The Issa disappointment will appear in another time.

I agree but the success and the fact he embodied Hollywoods version of " street cred" for his favorable treatment of liberalism allowed him to create many shows and events where the subtle or overt push of liberalism was front and center. He is still around today as the neighborhood "liberal pusher" or dealer in subversion. A big contributor to the liberal cause, in my estimation, financed by those that hardly agree with what he is about.
