whrldps..He was outside and locked out by his wife. I actually was in in waterloo and heard it from some police officers of what happened. This guy tried to kill an officer with a choke hold. Jesus people, I would of shot him too
It was a justifiable shooting. Mr. Rule had an officer in a choke hold and the officer's partner tasered him twice and used his fist to stop Mr. Rule. The officers did there job to stop this person. This all happened because Mr. Rule's wife locked him out of the house because he was too drunk and she didn't want to deal with him.
Okay guys this is what happened. Officer A and B went to a domestic call. (The wife locked Mr. Rule out of the house) Officer A went inside and talked to the wife and when he was done, he noticed Officer B being choked out by Mr. Rule. Officer A shot his taser and it did nothing to him, Officer A then used his fist and tried everything to stop Mr. Rule from choking Officer B out. Finally after nothing worked, the Officer shot Mr. Rule. No one knows why Officer B and Mr. Rule were fighting, but most people who work in law enforcemnt know that Domestics are dangerous. So don't doubt the Officers. That officer did the most reasonable thing he could do to save his partners life. Even if Mr. Rule lived, he would be seeing life anyway, so that officer saved us some taxpayer money. And KCRG get the real story and don't make it like the Officer did it for fun.....
actually, part of the grid the DAEC power goes to Minnesota. But during the floods DAEC had to stay online to help Cedar Rapids out. Also DAEC (FPL Energy) sells Alliant all the power they produce. IF you notice most of the wind mills are owned by FPL Energy. Maybe we need FPL Energy to take over Iowa billing too.
Are you people morons or what? For one Culver has vetoed the last 2 things brought up for Labor Changes. Next Iowa is ranked #1 in the midwest for the worst Labor Laws and treating Union members.... I know if I didn't have a Union at DAEC we would be making 10 dollars an hour and no benefits. IOWA needs to change there labor LAWS ASAP. This is year 2009, not 1935.
