Having lived near Newcastle for a few years and, since leaving, going back for West Ham away matches, what with St. James' being so close to the main shopping centre, it's incredibly noticeable how many shoppers are wearing Toon shirts and clearly going to the game after shopping. Any shopping mall developer who doesn't want 40,000 extra potential customers 19 times a year probably wouldn't be in business for very long.

I thought the Icelanders were the best thing since sliced bread so what do I know? I'm not a fan of the Davids, purely due to how they handled Birmingham and how they've flourished since they left. However, anything is better than our current situation.

I'm also one of that 5%. I'd rather not see Mssrs. Gollivan in charge, but I'd rather see them in charge than a faceless bankrupt Icelandic company. I feel like a beggar without a choice.
