The Wambling Gamer : Is the Modern Warfare 2 Xbox 360 worth it?

Well, Nick, there are plenty of ways to fill up a 250 gb hard drive. Not things i do necessarily, but its possible. Also, I think you are projecting a bit. Some folks have money they waste. Its stupid and it sucks. Also, who cares if there are like 7 different versions of the xbox? I guess the simplicity of one console is nice, but with the advent of hard drives being in consoles it means they will stratify the market in order to create the feeling of "options." It has worked in many other industries, so why not do it in the console space? Anyways, whatever, just buy a ps3. AMIRITE?

The Wambling Gamer : Local multiplayer, do we need it anymore?

First off, i want that prize. Give it to me. Secondly, I am rather conflicted on this. I think that it shouldn't be over looked by developers as being "over." There are still people out there looking for that local multiplayer action. It seems that as online system have gotten better and graphics become more and more important in game flame wars, developers are thinking that they don't need to implement a local mulitplayer option because all they need is a solid enough bullet point on the box saying it has multiplayer and if they had things like split screen co-op or whatever it would just make the graphics worse. Or whatever the vain excuse is. I think it is a good thing to have though. If you have online multiplayer, you should have local. I would say the same in reverse too.
