When I heard Obama was going to be on Leno, I thought "Wow! How desperate is he that he needs to go on a talk show to drum up support?"

That is the question, isn't it? By admitting that he is shocked by the bonuses, Obama is admitting he didn't know what was in the bill that he and his ilk rushed through Congress without giving anyone a chance to read it. How deeply irresponsible of him. That paints him at best as easily misled and at worst as incompetent. I just wonder if he actually made an informed decision to make that admission because the alternative would be to admit that he knew about the bonuses all along, and being incompetent is far preferable to being a lying dirtbag. Wow, how jaded am I?

Whoa, whoa, whoa...did anyone catch what Olbermann said in the last few seconds of that clip?!?! (I know it was excruciatingly painful to watch, but I made it to the end without my head exploding. It was close, though.)

He said that the U.S. "should not be a nation about the corporations; we have to roll back many of their liberties, if you will use that expression.." Wow. Is it just me, or does that attitude scare the crap out of anyone else? Are they really that obtuse? If they think that we have a problem with corporations shipping jobs overseas now (thanks to the 2nd highest corporate tax rate in the world), what do they think is going to happen when the government cracks down and 'rolls back their liberties'?

And I just love all the ad hominem attacks against Glenn. We know he is a softie, but Maher and Olbermann obviously don't understand how many of US also start weeping at the dangerous path our nation is moving, at the daily erosion of the principles on which our country was founded. They also fail to understand how their ridiculous attacks of Glenn are exceedingly insulting to us. And they wonder why their ratings are so low...
