Won't argue with that they certainly all make promises they don't keep and only out for their own gains and to me that includes the alliance party .

Sorry my mistake it's hard to know whos replying to who on here! , I would love to know the break down of the Alliance vote ie which percent of the community it comes from , if it's 50/50 then fair enough but if it's mostly unionist then they are a deluded unionist party who are misrepresenting their mandate in the search of votes , just my opinion I don't know the facts behind it but I do know all the councilers from all sides should be ashamed at the priorities they choose to follow.

Democracy is the choice of voting for who you want to represent you , doesn't make someone a moron because they differ from your view, the Alliance party going by the number of seats they hold in the grand scheme of things are still a minor party much like the lib dems in England they can pull some punches but not a lot , that may change in the future but can you honestly see Sinn Fein losing ground to them in nationalists areas?

I can read , I never once give a view on the flag maybe you should learn to read and digest what is being said surely everyone is entitled to an opinion, I am very much of the view that the elected parties including alliance are only out for themselves and love to waste money on pointless think tanks instead of using tax / rate payers money on things that improve both sides of the community such as homeless people and feeding the hungry , maybe the alliance party haven't their priorities right after all don't you think.

If you had of read the original article that you are commenting on and my original point about democracy you would see the relevance .

Come off a bigger party ? possibly and maybe that was the plan, it's not as if politicians are all morally upstanding whichever party they belong to , it'll be interesting to see if they take votes in nationalist areas or is it just middle to upper class unionists they aim for .

So you have went door to door and asked all the east Belfast alliance voters or are you actually the one making the assumptions?

I've seen a much larger reaction on the social networks etc than the the few hundred idiots as you claim and with that is everyone an idiot that doesn't follow your point of view? Doesn't really seem like you are such a democratic follower yourself , granted with every protest there are idiots that latch on and cause trouble, happens with the public sector cuts, G8 protests as well and violence should always be condemned.

I suppose you also think the people of Newry have every right to have this playground named after a cold blooded killer as it was done so by the ones they voted in decided to go down that path ?, is that democracy as well or you picking and choosing your arguments?
