next time, how about a two sentence recap of the act so we can avoid actually watching that trash?

But defending Martin by saying his tweet was about soccer is playing by the PC rules. Who cares if he was giving a jab against gays? Catholics, bald guys, postal workers, all kinds of "diverse" groups take shots from MSM big shots without anyone batting an eye. Bleep the gays and their special status. They want to be treated as equals. Then man up and take a joke.

Congrats, you've finally stumbled on the actual point of Nolte's original post, that Colbert's "cultural status transcends" his viewership. "Cultural status" translates to the show's overblown coverage in the MSM. People who don't watch him are aware because the Post, the Times, the major networks, Politico, have all decided he's newsworthy and important.

THAT was the point of the article.

so far the only actual terrorists we've met in Homeland are the 2 US Marines, a blond American girl next door type and her Arab lover that she led astray.

Oh yea, just like real life. Not Hollywood anti-Americanism at all.

you should care because he writes for a magazine that's read by a portion of the 15-20% of voters who swing elections. This crap reinforces the concept of Republicans as bigoted, selfish, uncaring yahoos while Democrats represent the just and moral.

the unwitting racism that these clowns display with their implicit assumption that food stamps = blacks is very telling of their true beliefs.

or maybe it's because he's a middle America hating socialist who has previously alienated half of the intended target audience.
