We are governed by profoundly ignorant and corrupt professional hacks, but we have allowed this to happen. The Founders never anticipated that politics would become a profession. They expected people like the mom in this video—who has more common sense than her state's congressional delegation combined—to serve a term or two and return to her real life. This Senator is the poster hack for term limits.

The spin will be that Democrats were booted for not getting the job done: no card check, no public option, no climate bill.
