"Unfortunately, what that group missed was some of the comments that he made just a few minutes later about his own personal faith and his family," he said

So, in other words, if someone makes hurtful comments to us and we choose not to listen to them we miss out? If you turn that around, it would be like expecting someone who is gay to hear an insult and then expect them to stick around to continue listening to that person. It shouldn't be expected of anyone, gay, Christian, or anyone else to remain in listening mode to someone who is offensive.

And as far as the comment, "Too often we forget how it feels to be on one end of the bullying if we've never been bullied," he said." He doesn't know if the people who walked out have ever been bullied or not. And, if you've ever read the comments on this news page and others, Christians are hated by many, many people. Just because there are loud mouthed politicians and preachers out there holding the airways doesn't mean that the day-to-day Christian is really in the majority anymore. Its not that uncommon for an average Christian to be bullied or discriminated against. I've been treated badly many times by aggressive anti-Christians. Its just not PC to stand up for a Christian. The attitude people have is that they deserve it because Christians are bigoted and hateful. Actually, most of us aren't. The bigoted and hateful ones are the ones that get microphones and platforms, but we don't really have much in common with them.

Gays shouldn't have to be mocked or bullied, nor Christians, nor ANYONE.

The parents weren't protesting that they rechecked her - it was HOW they did it. They could have taken the child aside and re-checked her. Once she ran away, they could have caught her without yelling and bedlam and having a parent in the room with a pat down AND after the child had had a chance to be calmed down would have been perfectly reasonable. As it is, the child was terrified for no reason and that's a shame.

They AREN'T supposed to touch them. That's the problem. He shouldn't have even grabbed him by the hoodie. This is ridiculous.

Many of the vaccines were created using fetal cell lines from aborted fetuses. Since many people have objected, some companies have made alternate vaccines. http://cogforlife.org/vaccineinfo.htm On that website there is a pdf that lists which vaccines were made from which fetal cell lines and which or if have alternatives. You can also see it by company. I did not know this before my daughter's reaction to the DTaP, but found it out researching after the fact. Sickens me. Those who are opposed to abortion and become aware of this situation often feel an religious obligation not to use these vaccines.

You will be pressured by many, but never forget, as a parent, you have to trust your own judgement. I only wish I'd trusted my own gut before I vaccinated my daughter. The important thing is to do your research and do what you believe is right.
