This move is strictly to put a government stooge in place. He caved to the Bush administration when with ATT and Obama is betting that he'll cave to him as well. Obama's words, " I don't want to be in the auto industry" yet what does he do, "I don't want to be in the banking industry" yet again what does he do, " I don't want to be in the health care industry" I say again what is he doing. Everything he has said he doesn't want to be a part of he is. The really amazing thing is that the cool aid drinking sheep in this country is falling for it and allowing it to happen.
All I can say is that I have been a loyal chevy man for many years. My allegiance is now Ford, I will never buy another GM product again.

I said it way back before the election that the math just don't add up, Obama cannot spend taxpayer dollars at that rate and expect incoming revenues to support it. Obama = more debt than every sitting president combined, that is just in his first 100 days. How are we going to survive three and a half more years of this. The only way is if the people finally wake up and take back the government by voting out all of the incumbents that refuse to listen to the people who put them there in the first place. I think term limits for the Congress and Senate should also be enacted.
As Mr Saunders so eloquently stated about the requirements of due process under the United States legal system. Those rights are required for a US citizen, Mr. Ghailani is not a US citizen, hence those rights do not apply. It is like saying that the Geneva Convention applies to terrorists, WRONG, the Geneva Convention applies to military combatants serving a countries recognized military force. Terrorists neither serve a military force or a country, their endgame is anarchy, nothing more or less.
