A typical salary for many people in Any Town, USA in 1964 would have been about $400 per month or 1600 quarters. Just to keep pace with 1964 wages, a wage earner today in Any Town would need to make $4000 er month or 16,000 quarters per month.
In closing. Those at the bottom are doing ok with all the safety net things paid for by those who are still working. The rich are doing just dandy. If they had a nest egg of 400,000 quarters in 1964, they are now blessed with 8,000,000 quarters.
This may be confusing to most people. The government and their buddies in the "Complex" want you to be confused. Otherwise, you may demand real change.

In 1964, when I was 20 years, four quarters would buy quite a lot. For example. About 4 gallons of gas. Or 2 ticke...ts to the movies with enough money left for two Cokes and a large bag popcorn.
To purchase what those four quarters would buy back in 1964, you will now need 80 quarters. To purcahse two movie tickets, two cokes and a large pop corn, one will need about 120 quarters.
Look at our housing. In 1964, you would probably pay around $100 per month on your house payment or 400 quarters. Today. for a typical house payment of $1,000.00, a home owner will need 4,000 quarters per month.

That is not the correct word to use.
By the way, death has become very far removed from the typical family in our culture. Just 80 years or so, most families in America prepared their deceased loves for burial in their own homes.
Colmes reveals a mean spirited, intolerant side that does not serve him well. That spirit seems to have incrased across the board with the left within the last few years.
