Actually, under Scottish law, once incorporated, (as Rangers were in 1899), a company and a club are one entity. If "The Rangers" is the same club as the one that won all those titles, then why did they need to apply to be admitted to the bottom tier of Scottish Football? If they were the same club, then why did they simply not retain their place in the SPL?

How can Boyd and Miller "return" to Rangers? The club, Rangers, for which they both played, is currently in the process of being liquidated. The club now plying its trade in the third tier of Scottish football and calling itself Rangers is a new club for which neither Boyd nor Miller has ever played.

Great to see the Ulster contingent making such a significant contribution to Ireland's victory. It would be interesting to know when was the last time five Ulster players started in a Six/Five Nations match.

" Two peelers sitting in a wagon drinking tea" Have you seen the significant police presence on the ground and in vehicles which is necessary each and every night to prevent the Twaddell "peaceful protesters" from breaking the law by parading past the Ardoyne shops? The continued presence of this unlawful "civil rights " camp is an outrage to all law abiding citizens in Northern Ireland. The PSNI should do their duty and go
in and clear the whole lot out once and for all. The way in which DUP and UUP politicians continue to consort with these criminals is a disgrace.

TJ, I am afraid you are wrong when you say that the DUP have always supported selection tests. The following is a direct quote from their manifesto for the 1989 local government elections: "We believe that selection at 11 should be ended. The 11+ procedure is educationally unsound and socially divisive and places unnecessary strain on children at an early age." It is clear from this that the DUP opposed not only the 11+ testing procedure but the whole concept of selection at age 11. It would appear that DUP (Continuing) has a point.

It never ceases to amaze me that some people expect to be given credit for simply doing what they should have done in the first place. This ridiculous parade should never have been contemplated but we have Christopher Stalford hailing the Sandy Row OO for their wise decision to call it off. In the immortal words of the great Chris Rock: in his legendary N*****s sketch, "Whaddya want, a cookie?"

What nonsense. Gibraltar is a tiny speck attached to the south coast of Spain. How on earth can anyone differentiate between what constitutes Gibraltarian territorial waters as opposed to those of Spain?

Under section 11 of the Public Processions Act 1998 the Secretary of State, having regard to any serious disruption to the life of the community which a procession of a particular class or description may cause, may prohibit such a procession if she feels that it is in the public interests to do so, She may also prohibit such processions from taking place in a specified area for a period not exceeding 28 days. Surely, if we are to believe the Secretary of State's often expressed support for the private sector in Northern Ireland, and in particular for the traders of central Belfast, she should exercise her powers to ban all parades of a political nature from the area of central Belfast for the month of December 2013. If the flag protesters wish to exercise their right of free assembly, let them do it somewhere else during the busy period leading up to Christmas.

In terms of winning Heineken Cup games with last minute drop goals it appears Farrell is no Ronan O'Gara.

I watched the video of the speech and was amused to hear Mr Mawhinney quote the words of the chorus to the late James Young's song "We're proud of our wee Ulster". James of course meant it as satire but it seems the Orange Order doesn't do irony.
