Income over $32,000 causes some of your social security to become taxable. That $32k threshold hasn't been increased one dime in years. Every year more of our SS becomes taxable. Haven't heard any pols talking about raising the threshold, let alone eliminating it. This year we have to take $2000 out of our shrinking IRA to pay the taxes, now our income next year will be $2000 more over the threshold. Sinking here, where's the life boat?
